Why We Founded the Company

iSource was created to match up the unmet demands in the ITO and BPO markets with the excess capacity in China.

The global outsourcing demand has been rising steadily. However, the Small and Midsize Business (SMB) segment has been overlooked and underserved. So far, only the larger companies benefited from off shoring. We believe there is no reason why the SMBs wouldn’t be able to reap just as much cost and efficiency benefits as the larger companies. So we designed a new engagement model specifically for the SMBs.

Since 1993 the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA) of the Chinese government, along with the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information Industry, and the Administration of Environmental Protection, has been sponsoring the biannual Sino-American Technology and Engineering Conference (SATEC) in Beijing. This high-level conference serves as a platform for Experts of various disciplines from the US to participate in the examination and review of the technology and industry developments in China. In effect, the experts provide advices and critiques for the Chinese government as it formulates the high-tech development policy. All founders of iSource have been involved in the planning and execution of the conference as key members of the US Organizing Committee.

Due to this history of close collaboration with the Chinese government agencies, the founding and operation of iSource has the endorsement of Chinese government, in particular SAFEA, the State Planning Commission, and the Torch Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
